Bee Crafty Doodle Bee card

PRODUCTS USED:
5x7 card blank (you can make any size)
Bee Crafty Stamps:
Doodle Bee Art stamp (regular)

D'inkable regular dots & brick wall

Distress inks - worn lipstick & spiced marmalade
https://www.beecrafty.net/tim-holtz-distress-ink-pads.irc
Black fine tip posca pen.

HOW TO MAKE:

1) First I die cut a hexagonal shape to use as a mask for inking over.

Then using a card panel slightly smaller than my blank I started inking around the hexagonal mask in distress ink.

2) Next using the stencils I inked up random sections in opposing colours to add interest and flat texture.

3) Then I stamped the Doodle Bee inside the masked off hexagonal area in black versafine and also onto a separate sheet of card. (To fussy cut it out for layering)

4) Using the decorative element stamps I added some details onto the card design. It adds more interest to the overall card.

5) Next after fussy cutting the bee (body & wings) I watercoloured him with Koh-I-Noor watercolours (any brand will suffice)

6) I added star dust stickles to the bee's wings to make them appear translucent.

That's it complete.

Card - 'Go be Free' BEAUtanicals

PRODUCTS USED:

7x7 card blank (you can make any size)
Bee Crafty Stamps BEAU-tanical wildflower 2
Bee Crafty Wordage travel words
Ink'able stencils multi butterfly
Distress oxide inks - twisted citron,
wilted violet, seedless preserves, peacock feathers & tattered rose.

Versafine ink onyx black
Versamark clear ink
Black fine tip posca pen.

HOW TO MAKE:

1) First I taped the multi butterfly stencil onto my card blank with low tack washi tape. Then I inked through using the multiple colours of oxides.

2) Cut two rectangles that you can mat and layer, larger in black, smaller in white.
Then ink up the wildflower in versamark clear ink, stamp on the white rectangle and heat emboss in clear.
Blend over the top of the heat embossing using the various mix of oxides - do it in a sort of rainbow effect. Then mist with water & blot to soften the look.

3) Mount the rainbow panel onto the black rectangle and glue it into the bottom right corner of the card blank.
Then using the travel words stamp "go be free" in Versafine & "explore" in tattered rose oxide. All done!
